DRC is proud to support the Seal of Biliteracy initiative and national movement for districts and states to recognize and award students who have attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation. DRC also supports states and districts who are instituting a Bilingual/Multilingual Pathway Awards program, as students take significant steps towards developing biliteracy from preschool to high school.

Using LAS Links as a Measure of Biliteracy
LAS Links® is a language proficiency assessment approved in many states and districts as a tool for awarding the Seal of Biliteracy and Pathway Awards. Specifically, LAS Links Español is a standardized assessment that provides evidence of Spanish language proficiency for both native and non-native speakers in the four domains of Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing (Escuchando, Hablando, Lectura y Escritura). LAS Links also offers English language proficiency assessments, which can be used to measure whether English learners meet state- or district-specific criteria for earning Pathway Awards and the Seal of Biliteracy.
